Police Master Use of Force Instructor Certification Course

Course Profile: A two week, 80 hour intensive and extensive Use of Force training program covering all aspects of non-lethal & less lethal use of force techniques & tactics by today's Police Officer. Developed within national, lawful parameters of use of force by police officers, the program follows escalation & de-escalation of force based on the highly acclaimed "Ladder of Force Continuum." This continuum has been recognized as a standard for juries in Federal Court cases since 1986 in better understanding police use of force actions. This nationally researched and continually updated course has been designed and developed to protect departments from costly liability and workman compensation issues resulting from inadequate training in the proper and judicious control of passive and violent subjects. Note: individual certifications per day(s) may be taken separately. All programs awarded three (3) year "backed in court" certification.

Training Agenda Addresses the Following Topics:

	Day 1-2-3- Police Control & Restraint Techniques Instructor Certification, understanding the four types of anger, key verbal de-escalation techniques, body space parameters, understanding body mechanics, joint locations, body engine theory, dynamics of control & restraint. Hands-on easy-to-learn & retain control & restrain tech's, realistic handcuffing tactics, use of restraints including the Emergency Response Belt for handling EDP's, juveniles, elderly persons and person sprayed with OC and chemical agents.
Day 4 - "Updated" OC Aerosol Spray Weapons - Instructor Certification, this non-manufacturer specific training addresses all spray patterns, formulations, manufacturers products, latest spray units available including 40 foot range, 5 lb riot canisters & grenades. Latest up-to-date decontamination methods, decon- product availability, medical aspects and national OC issues with training considerations. Considered the leading OC course in the United States today.
	Day 5 - "Complete" Expandable Police Baton ? Instructor Certification, covering any manufacturers expandable baton. This court proven program addresses lawful and judicious use & applications of the expandable baton. Realistic striking techniques in the closed & expanded position, blocking techniques and use of force parameters are extensively covered.
Day 6-7 - Less Lethal Weapons Specialist ? Instructor Certification, covering flexible bean bags & non-flexible rubber rounds, flashbang rounds for the 12GA & 37/40mm. Regarded as the most-up-to-date program in the nation today.
	Day 8-9-10 - Edged Weapons Awareness & Spontaneous Response Instructor & Street Combatives Instructor, the most realistic and proven training system in the world today. Developed in England, this system has been documented to have saved more than 600 officers lives to date. Since 9/11 personal possession of knives has increased 250%!
