Police & Correctional Non-Lethal Use of Force - 5 Days (40 Hours)

 A comprehensive training program on all aspects of no-lethal use of force by a police or corrections officer. Developed in 1986, this course follows the court based "Ladder of Force Continuum" which is a use of force model developed for jurors in Federal civil rights cases against officers. Training addresses initial contact with proper verbal skills, understanding the four types of anger, body space parameters; to control & restraint techniques, handcuffing tactics, additional restraint applications, offensive tactics with the use of the hands and simple, effective disarming techniques should something go wrong. Proper report & court documentation methods based on a national use of force expert witness personal use in Federal Court is additionally covered in this complete training program.
